Dragonflies hovering in wild grasses evoke the carefree summer days of my childhood. These days, when I want to feel that same sense of timeless, dreamy bliss, I head into the wilderness and immerse myself in nature.

This piece has been created using a modern adaptation of the ancient Greek method of burning layers of beeswax, resin, pigments and inks into my wood-mounted, enlarged photographic print, which gradually transforms beneath the flame into a highly tactile and original artwork.

The finished panel is museum quality. It is prepped with picture hardware and is cradled and braced on the back. It does not need to be framed (its unique edges add to the artwork's appeal).
