'Wallaby Joey, Watching'
‘Wallaby Joey, Watching’ (June 2020) is an original encaustic artwork by Australia-based artist, Tanya Ogilvie-White. It’s inspired by a photographic expedition she undertook in Tasmania in 2017, during which she fell in love with the Bennett’s wallabies of Mount William National Park (Northeast Tasmania). She spotted this little joey one misty morning, not far from her mother, who was feasting on grass roots while keeping a watchful eye on her offspring.
Materials: Encaustic with raw pigment and gold leaf on cradled and braced birch board.
Dimensions: 45cm x 50cm x 2cm.
Prepped with picture hardware and ready to hang.
Can be shipped internationally. Please email tanya@scorchingskiesart.com for further information.
