Dragonflies have always enchanted me - I love their sparkling colours, their translucent wings, and the way they dance through the air. The dragonflies in this artwork inspired me to create an encaustic artwork using the ancient Greek encaustic technique of burning beeswax, resin and pigments into a wooden board. The finished result is ethereal and calming - so uplifting that I decided to add it to my collection of limited-edition prints. It's created using archival pigmented inks on premium 310gsm cotton rag and mounted on white high quality matt board.
