There's a sweet story behind this artwork - it was inspired by a pair of rosellas (Roger and Ros) who raised their chicks in a gum tree at our house near Byron Bay. I took a series of photographs of Roger on the day his first chick hatched and decided to preserve the moment for ever. The original encaustic artwork sold immediately, but there are still a few limited-edition prints left. It's one of my all-time favourites.
