The original cold wax artwork was inspired by the pelicans that glide around at the mouth of the Brunswick River. Tanya loves watching them on misty mornings and cloudy days, when the sea and sky blend into a thousand soft shades of white, and the pelicans drift dreamily across the surface. The original was created by layering cold wax medium, oils, soft pastels, and India ink onto a cradled wooden board and carving into the surface.
