‘The Edge of the Rainbow’ is part of the Poetry Series, inspired by poems on the subjects of nature, beauty and hope. This artwork shows an Eastern Spinebill feeding on a wild callistemon flower at Palmwoods near Main Arm in Northern New South Wales, Australia. The original was created by layering cold wax over encaustic (molten wax) and resin, and then carving into the layers to create texture and reveal the colours beneath.
