‘The Joys of Spring’ is part of the Poetry Series, inspired by poems on the subjects of nature, beauty and hope. It shows an Eastern Rosella flying through gum leaves during the Blue Hour in Bangalow, NSW. The original was created by layering cold wax medium over encaustic (molten wax) and resin, and then carving into the surface to create texture and reveal the colours beneath.
