Part of the Dreamscapes Series, inspired by the early evening landscape in the beach town of Brunswick Heads, New South Wales, Australia. The original began as a double exposure landscape photograph that the artist took along the banks of the Brunswick River at sunset, which she then transformed into an encaustic artwork by burning many layers of beeswax, resin and raw pigments into the photograph. The little birds in the wild grasses are finches, which were photographed further inland and combined into a composite image.
